Be Kind to Yourself
I don’t know about you, but I am hard on myself. The things I say to myself I would never dare say to someone else. Things like: You’re an idiot. You failed (again). What is wrong with you? You’re unloved. You ruined it. You’re ugly. People are annoyed by you. . . I could go on.
I’ve done much self-improvement work over the years. And I’ve come a long way, but I also know that I have a long way to go.
Giving myself kindness requires me to speak truth to myself, and to believe that truth.
Here are some affirmations I turn and return to all year long.
I will not compare myself to others.
I am loved.
I have value.
I am making a difference.
Grace makes me new every moment, every day.
Nothing I do could make me less ___________ (good, kind, beautiful, loved).
What are some truths that you could stand reminding yourself about?
I hope you know…
You are loved. You have value. You are important. Grace makes all things new.
Love, Ali xo
