No Label at the Table Bakery
Last summer, I wrote a blog post about a new farmer’s market stand that I came across: No Label at the Table. Last weekend, I attended the grand opening of their store front in the heart of my city’s downtown!
No Label at the Table is a gluten-free, dairy-free food company that employs young adults on the autism spectrum.
It was incredible to see the employees working back in the kitchen and at the cash register. Shelly, the owner and visionary, seems like such a remarkable person. She believes in every single one of her employees, and truly has their best interest in mind. Read more about her son’s story–and the inspiration behind No Label at the Table–here.
Our goal is not only to improve autism awareness, but change the perception of the public of the capability of people with disabilities. – Shelly
This was their menu the first weekend:
Gluten Free & Vegan Cinnamon Sugar Donuts (just 5 dozen the first hour of the day), Carrot Muffins, Snickerdoodles, Lemon Almond Cookies, Ginger Cookies, Chocolate Crinkle Cookies, Chocolate Chip & Chocolate Chip Vegan Cookies, PB Sandwich Cookies & Chocolate Chip Sandwich Cookies, Cereal Treats, Cupcakes, Pizza Crusts, and Brownies.
The kitchen is a dedicated gluten-free and dairy-free space, so people with severe allergies can feel good about purchasing their baked goods. The storefront not only offers freshly baked treats, but also coffee, tea, Circle City kombucha, and soda.
If you are local, check out their storefront, as well as their stands at farmer’s markets this summer.
If you are not local, they ship anywhere in the United States! They are also happy to accommodate other food preferences or restrictions with special ordering.
I can’t wait to go back and try the GF vegan cinnamon sugar donuts.
Let me know if you try it!
